Dejah Thoris

I just had my 21st birthday and my family generously gave me a Samsung Galaxy Note. Most of my friends have iPads, but I knew I needed something more cut out for drawing. After some thorough help from I found a great app that fit my needs, and I'm beyond excited to see what comes from it. 

While the box office didn't shine well on it, I thought John Carter was a hidden gem. The world of Barsoom (Mars) was fascinating and immediately hooked me. However the most intriguing part of the film to me was Princess Dejah Thoris. She's breathtakingly beautiful (especially with my hollywood crush Lynn Collins in the role!) but most of all she's a well rounded female character. She felt like a combination of Wonder Woman and Princess Leia; a pretty face that could easily kick your ass, but you could talk to for hours. 

The piece is very J. Scott Campbell inspired with my own touch as well. His women are always beautiful, sexy, and most of all expressive. 

I look forward to producing more pieces like her in my digital work along with my practical drawing!
